Warum es geht
A lawn is not a biodiversity plan.
Many so-called “green” outdoor spaces consist of short-cut lawns and a few ornamental shrubs—visually unremarkable and ecologically ineffective. An integrated approach considers soil sealing, greening, lighting, and connectivity with the surrounding environment from the very beginning, rather than treating green space as a leftover area.
For certification systems and financing partners, documented ecological impact is becoming increasingly important, while the proportion of green space is becoming less so.
